Take Five to Stop Fraud

Cynergy Bank are proud to support the Take Five national campaign.

Led by UK Finance, Take Five is a national campaign that offers straightforward and impartial advice, to help prevent email, phone based or online fraud. The campaign is delivered with, and through, a range of partners in the UK payments industry, as well as financial services firms, law enforcement agencies, telecommunication providers and others.

As signatories to the Take Five Charter, we will combine our efforts with others across the financial services sector, to provide you with the knowledge that you need, to protect yourself from fraud.

Criminals are experts at impersonating people, well known organisations, and the police. Take Five urges you to stop and consider whether a situation is genuine – to stop and think whether what you’re being told, really makes sense.  

Stop: Taking a moment to stop and think, before parting with your money, or information, could keep you safe.

Challenge: Could it be fake? It’s ok to reject, refuse, or ignore any requests. Only criminals will try to rush or panic you.

Protect: Contact your bank immediately, if you think you’ve fallen for a scam, and report it to Action Fraud .
