Title:            Restructuring Officer

Location:      Redhill, Surrey or London

Contract:       Permanent

Salary:          Dependant on experience

Summary:

The role will assist a core team within the Bank that supports customers who are in financial distress. The team will review and assess restructuring lending facilities in order to ensure long term viability of the Banks loans. The team also manages the Banks response to Covid 19 payment holidays and manages some regulated lending as well as unregulated lending.  

 Responsibilities:

  • Support with the management of customers / loans in financial difficulty.
  • Maintain accurate records of debts recovered, and produce reports as necessary
  • Identify cases requiring write off and draft write off submissions
  • Maintain accurate records of client activity and produce reports as necessary.
  • Commence enforcement action or, where appropriate, instruct external solicitors to do so.
  • Build an effective relationship with external solicitors and professionals who act on behalf of the Bank.
  • Review and document all new debt cases referred, preparing formal demands upon principal debtors and guarantors as required, updating internal records.
  • Monitor and record repayment arrangements, security, covenants and other conditions agreed.
  • Maintain all departmental templates and amend them as appropriate
  • Involvement in Ad-Hoc projects as required.

Essential Knowledge & Experience

  • Understanding of Banking practices.
  • Understanding of personal and business lending and security structures.
  • Prior knowledge /experience of restructuring / recoveries would be beneficial but not mandatory.

Title:           Senior Associate

Location:     North London

Contract:      Permanent

Salary:         Dependant on experience

To assist our focused relationship teams in providing high quality customer journeys and outcomes to their customers. You will support the team in the ongoing management and review of customer facilities. You will be preparing and submitting credit applications, ensuring appropriate commentary and analysis to aid decision making and dealing with the onward execution, including post credit approval, dealing with our solicitors and valuers as required. You will ensure that the portfolio is fully compliant with our risk management and AML policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Associate Director / Relationship Director to ensure achievement of overall growth and income targets and adherence to bank standards in respect of credit, operational and regulatory risk
  • Analyse financial and non-financial information as part of the credit assessment process
  • Assess, prepare and submit credit applications for borrowing facilities, ensuring appropriate commentary and analysis to aid decision making
  • Support/manage the post sanction process to ensure that our lending/customer journeys complete to time and quality
  • Complete credit application proposals for approval including; CAPS (Credit Application Processing System), nCino, security collateral, financial commitments schedule, narrative, balance sheet analysis and Moodys
  • Support management team in the ongoing management and review of customer facilities
  • Contact customers to obtain relevant information in respect of credit applications
  • Maintain delivery of a high quality service to customers, liaising as appropriate with other parts of the business to ensure needs are met
  • Ensure that portfolio is fully compliant with the Bank’s AML policies and procedures
  • Ability to construct a detailed and quality credit assessment

Title:            Financial Planning & Analysis – Commercial Finance Business Partner

Location:      Central London

Contract:      Permanent

Salary:         Dependant on experience

Responsibilities:

  • Support the production of the Bank’s budget and forecast with a particular focus on income and cost drivers
  • Support the production and delivery of the monthly financial management packs to ExCo and Board ensuring that they are accurate, insightful and the key messages are delivered and communicated effectively
  • Have an active input into the Bank’s lending pricing tool responsible for the upkeep of the model and development to incorporate changes in the Bank’s strategy and changes in the regulatory landscape
  • Financial modelling of business critical projects which support the delivery of the Bank’s ambitious strategy
  • Analysis of the Banks’ competitors and the effective communication of key conclusions to seniors
  • Support the development and delivery of strategic change delivering value to the business and/or the wider Finance Team
  • Build relationships with stakeholders to ensure Finance are the partner of choice
  • Support and contribute to the overall risk control framework whilst maintaining controls

Essential Knowledge & Experience

  • Must be a qualified accountant: ACA, CIMA or equivalent
  • Over 2 years of experience within FP&A, Business Partnering or Business Intelligence, preferably within the Financial Services
  • Have had experience in engaging with non-finance colleagues and supported the delivery of management actions leading to an improved financial performance
  • Understanding of Income & Balance sheet drivers for Financial Services
  • Experience in budgeting and forecasting
  • Advanced MS Office skills
  • Experience managing the workload for a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision within a team structure
  • Ability to work under pressure, if necessary, under deadline-driven conditions

Desirable knowledge & Experience:

  • Experience of working in a challenger bank environment

Title:            Finance Manager– Cynergy Business Finance

Location:      Central London

Salary:         Dependant on experience

This role will support an exciting new product offering within Cynergy Business Finance (CBF), a subsidiary of Cynergy Bank, and will provide end to end financial and management reporting to management of both CBF and the Bank.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of the period end close effectively and efficiently, delivering robust financials to agreed deadlines to support wider Finance deliverables.
  • Diligent maintenance of all ledgers – ensuring rigorous compatibility with any 3rd party systems of record.
  • Manage the CBF nominals in source ledger and integration to Bank systems and ensure full substantiation on a quarterly basis.
  • Provide analysis to support key weekly, monthly and annual financial forecasts, estimates, assumptions and judgments.
  • Support key risk assessments and ongoing controls testing, ensuring adequate controls are in place, monitored and maintained for the CBF product and processes.
  • Production of monthly MI and maintenance of MI Dashboard – providing analysis and commentary.
  • Support annual budgeting process and keep track of CBF budget and movements in forecasts and identify risks and opportunities.
  • Assist with tax compliance for CBF.
  • Support the audit process (interim audit, year-end audit, profit verification), providing quality information in a timely manner, including drafting financial statements and disclosure notes relevant to CBF.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with the wider Cynergy Bank finance team, continually looking to improve the reporting cycle.
  • Keep up to date and implement accounting developments in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards, as well as keeping informed of other regulatory or legislative changes impacting CBF.
  • Co-ordinate the daily management of the treasury within the Business – ensuring adequate cash management and accurate reporting of information.
  • Working with Regulatory Reporting on calculation of RWAs and capital allocation and reporting for CBF.
  • Complete ad hoc projects as directed by line manager and as required by wider team.
  • Ensure all administrative items are completed in appropriate timeframes and a development plan is regularly reviewed with line manager and kept up to date.

Essential Knowledge & Experience

  • Qualified accountant: ACA or ACCA – part or newly qualified would be considered
  • Strong Financial accounting background - IFRS knowledge is essential
  • Invoice Finance accounting experience, from client booking through to capital calculation and allocation
  • Strong systems and excel skills
  • Self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision within a team structure
  • Ability to work under pressure, if necessary under deadline-driven conditions
