Open Banking

We're improving your Online Banking experience with a new version of our Authenticator App.

However, the latest version of the Authenticator app is not currently available to our customers who use Open Banking. To continue accessing both Online Banking and Open Banking, please remain on the current version of the app installed on your device.

How to know you are using the Open Banking version of the Authenticator App

If you are using a version of the app not compatible with Open Banking, you'll see the option to use Notifications as disabled when you log into Online Banking. Ignore the instructions to update your app to enable Notifications; you can continue using Open Banking with your current version.

How to download the Open Banking version of the Authenticator App

If you are an existing Open Banking customer who has already updated to the new app and wants to continue accessing the service, or a new customer who wants to access Open Banking, you can download the Open Banking-compatible version of our Authenticator App from the link below:

Note: Currently, only Android users can download the Open Banking-compatible version of the Authenticator App. This service is not yet available for iOS customers.

Steps to download the Android version:

Step 1: Select the ‘Android Authenticator App’ link above

You will be presented with an option to download the app.

Step 2: Confirm the app download to your device

The app will download to your device.

Note: You may be prompted to allow app installation from unknown sources. To ensure a safe download, verify that you've obtained the app directly from Cynergy Bank at Then, select "Allow from this source" to proceed with the installation.

Step 3: Select and open the downloaded app

You should be presented with the following instruction “Do you want to update this app?”

Step 4: Select ‘Update’

The app will begin to install itself on your device.

Once completed the confirmation of the app as installed will display.

Step 5: Select to ‘Open’ the app

The Open Banking version of the Authenticator app is ready to use.
