Applying for a new Cash ISA before the tax year ends

When you apply, we complete electronic checks to confirm your identity. If we need more information or documents from you, we’ll let you know.

To help us process your application before the end of the 2026/2027 tax year, we need to receive all required information and supporting documents by 28 March 2027.

We must also receive any new Cash ISA subscriptions by the payment cut-off dates below. This helps make sure your payment counts towards the 2026/2027 tax year allowance.

Adding money to an existing Cash ISA

If you want to add money to an existing Cash ISA for the 2026/2027 tax year, your payment must reach us by the dates below.

Electronic payments: make your payment by 5pm on 28 March 2027.

Cheque payments: your cheque must reach us by 5pm on 22 March 2027. We’ll return cheques received after this date.

Our Fixed Rate Cash ISA lets you add money throughout the tax year. You can fix the interest rate once in each tax year. If you’ve already fixed the interest rate this tax year with one of our Fixed Rate Cash ISAs, any further money you add will be held in the variable rate account.

Using your ISA allowance across different ISA types

Cynergy Bank Online ISAs and Fixed Rate Cash ISAs are both Cash ISAs.

We can only accept transfers from another Cash ISA into a Cynergy Bank ISA product.

For the 2026/2027 tax year, your £20,000 ISA allowance can be used across different types of ISA, including Cash ISAs, Stocks and Shares ISAs, Lifetime ISAs and Innovative Finance ISAs.

For example, you could pay into a Cynergy Bank Cash ISA and a Stocks and Shares ISA with another provider in the same tax year, as long as you stay within the overall ISA allowance.
