Last night, Bank of Cyprus UK celebrated its 60th anniversary with customers, introducers, staff and business partners at the London Transport Museum in Covent Garden.

This is a significant milestone for the bank, which started in 1955 serving the Cypriot community from a single branch. Since then, Bank of Cyprus UK has grown into a diversified bank, serving savers alongside businesses and professionals. 

During 60 years of being open for business, the core beliefs of the bank have remained unchanged, as it continues to offer  a straightforward,, responsive and flexible approach to banking that reflects the uniqueness of the Bank of Cyprus UK customer base. 

Soteris Antoniades, Acting Chief Executive at Bank of Cyprus UK, who spoke at the event, said: “We take great pride in reaching our 60th anniversary. The fact that we have survived and thrived for six decades – in good times and bad – is a reflection of the robustness of our business and the loyalty of our customers”.

“The strength of our business model gave us the ability to more than overcome the UK and Cypriot financial crisis. Looking ahead, we continue to be well placed in the market. We’ve maintained our financial soundness and have seen our business go from strength to strength over the last 18 months. We will be looking to continue this growth and to support this, we will be making a number of investments in technology, training and people to continue to improve what we do and how we do it. We are very much open for business and look forward to being of service to our  customers for at least another six decades”.
