A message from our Chief Executive
On 3 December 2019 we celebrated our first anniversary as Cynergy Bank. When we rebranded at the end of 2018, our ambition was to create a new way of banking for enterprising business owners, family businesses and property entrepreneurs across the UK. I am delighted to say that we are well on our way to achieving these goals and we couldn’t have done it without our loyal customers and our dedicated employees.
We have a clear purpose at Cynergy Bank, to be the best bank for business owners, property entrepreneurs and family businesses across the UK. To help us fulfil this vision we continue to work tirelessly to meet our customer’s needs. We recognise that as business owners, our customers have a diverse range of needs across their business and personal lives and we differentiate ourselves by servicing these needs through our blended offering:
• Property Finance - lending solutions to support wealth creation
• Business Banking - products and services to support growth and meet day to day business needs
• Private Banking - services that support personal and family finance needs
• Savings – allowing customers to grow their savings online with tax-free, fixed rate and easy access options
We also know that how we deliver on this is crucial. That’s why we ensure customers are always in good hands, with accessible, knowledgeable people who’ll understand their business, working with them to find solutions and make quick decisions to meet their ever-changing needs. Our customers tell us that our relationship-first approach makes it easier for them to reach their goals.
Our efforts to fulfil this purpose are bearing fruit. In 2019 we passed the £2bn of lending mark, which is an amazing achievement and more importantly, reflects the fact that we are now supporting more customers than ever – helping them to achieve their dreams and ambitions.
If we want to be the best bank for business owners in the UK, Cynergy Bank needs to attract and retain the best people. The management team and I have focussed on colleague engagement and culture as we have worked to establish our new bank. This effort has been recognised globally – as we became one of only eight UK companies to win a 2019 Korn Ferry Engaged Performance Award.
Our staff are passionate about what they do, and our customers can feel that in every interaction. Our customers are showing their confidence in our service levels, evidenced by a leading net promoter score of 52, an indication of customer satisfaction with our services, and an achievement we are extremely proud of. We will continue to challenge ourselves and strive for customer service at its best.
This, coupled with new product launches and awards during 2019 makes me extremely proud of the great strides we’ve made so far, but equally excited about our bright future ahead. We continue to work on some new exciting projects, and I look forward to providing you with further updates over the coming months.
